Who is responsible
The Galt Academy is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Privacy enquiries and requests go to galtacademy@proton.me.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name and email address, your phone number if you give one, how many children you have and how old each will be on 1 September, the town you live in, how far you would be willing to drive, whether full time or part time suits you, and anything you choose to write in the last box. We collect nothing else about you as you read the site. Some parts of the page are loaded from other companies, and those companies see your visit.
About your children
The form asks how many children you have and how old each will be on 1 September. It asks nothing else about them: no names, no current school, and nothing about their health or their learning. We ask because the ages on the list decide which grades the school can open with, and because a child must be four years old on the first day of school to attend.
It is stored with the rest of your enquiry and removed when you ask us to remove it. If you would rather not give it, say so in the last box and send the form anyway.
Why we collect it
To answer your questions, to keep you informed as the site, the tuition and the opening are settled, and to work out where the school should be. The town and drive time you give us are used for exactly that and nothing else. We do not sell personal information or pass it to anyone marketing anything.
Who else handles it
The form is delivered to our inbox by Formspree, a form-delivery service acting on our behalf, which stores the submission so it can pass it on. Beyond that, what you send is read by the people running the school and nobody else.
Google Maps
The map showing our service area is embedded from Google. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and can set its own cookies, for its own purposes, whether or not you interact with the map. That is a disclosure to Google rather than something done on our behalf, and it is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send us until the school opens and your family has decided either way, and we delete it when you ask.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it, including anything about your children. Write to galtacademy@proton.me and we will do it. Deleting your entry removes you from the founding families list, so we will check that is what you meant before doing it.
